Mizuki rolled her eyes and spoke flatly. "We were being naughty. I just put them in front because he complained his arms were hurting. Did he run? I think not. Whatever he wants from you he wont leave 'till he gets it..." She stopped herself, realizing that her anger at Sid was leaking out at Soran. "...Sorry." she looked away from him, not wanting to see his eyes.
"So, should we move on?" her voice was a little more friendly than before.

Soran hesitated, looking at Mizuki's back. Naughty? Until he gets what he wants? The only thing he understood about Mizuki's words was the tone, and that raised more questions. He glanced at Sid skeptically. Had he said something strange to her?
He decided to leave the issue of unbinding his hands alone for the sake of the uneasy stalemate that seemed to have settled over their conversation. "Fine, let's keep moving," he agreed, touching Rai's head encouragingly as they picked up and carried on with their journey.
It was another day and a half, thankfully without incident, before they came into sight of the wide marble gates of Lowight city proper. Suburban villages spread out for miles around its great stone walls, with a wide gardened path leading through it all straight to the gates.
Soran paused as they rounded a hill and wound up overlooking the entire landscape, with the villages, Ighten behind them like a giant white guardian, and the sea breaking in the distance behind it. It was incredible...it was nothing like Aerroes, the only city he had for comparison. He looked over at Mizuki. They'd barely spoken along their journey to avoid drawing any attention from 'neighbors' in the woods, but now he said "There it is," in a dry murmur.

"Yes," Mizuki breathed in relief. Their journey was over and they could alert the Queen (if she didn't know already). What happened afterward? Probably preparing for war, but now Mizuki wanted to rest knowing that at least something could be accomplished. She unconsciously searched for Soran's hand and gripped it tight in her own.
Looking towards the capital with hope in her eyes, Mizuki smiled for the first time since they had started the short, but high tension journey. With Soran's hand in hers and Soran holding Rai, Mizuki led them towards the city not caring that Sid was just behind them. He wasn't leaving anyway... it seemed.
OOC: merging into "Upon the Heals of War". And I'd just like to point out that the short journey they took to get there lasted WAAAYY too long. We need to work on that.
