Thomas doesn't know it, but he has some very powerful magic hidden away. With the right situation, he can conjure immense fires and can cause earthquakes. His powers, once discovered, will consist of dispelling magical attributes, healing, and small amounts of fire. His strength and speed can also be increased with his powers. These powers are limited however, because even these powers can stress him to the point where he might lose his mind.
8) Weaknesses: Thomas is very scared of birds. He was poked in the face by a bird when he was young, and has been traumatized since.
His powers, which are hidden, can have very negative affects. If Thomas uses his powers too much or goes too far, he could go insane, and even become suicidal. Chances are that if he went far enough, he could just die from the magic.
9) Biography: The reason for Thomas having these powers. goes back to when he was living in the village, before the raid. He was about 5 when this incident happened. He was playing with the other children in the village when his friend, Lucas, told him of something his father told him. There was a cave to the north of the village, and within was a shining red crystal. There was something about it that wasn't right, something sinister and evil. It was a unanimous decision to go ahead and get rid of the thing.
However, Thomas and Lucas wanted to have a look at the thing for themselves, so they waited until nighttime, grabbed some torches, and headed towards the cave. If they had had any idea of what was going to happen beforehand, they never would've even thought about going near the place. They reached the cave, and the torchlight reflected off the large red crystal in the middle of the cave. It was quite scary and imposing in the firelight, but that didn't deter Thomas from reaching up and touching the crystal.
That's when the crystal started glowing. Lucas backed up, but Thomas couldn't. His hand was stuck to the crystal. Suddenly, his arms and face lit up in glowing red runes, and his eyes seemed to look as red torchlights. The ground seemed to crack around him, and all the sudden, he lit on fire. But the fire didn't burn him at all. It was as if the fire was not actually touching him, but rather surrounding his body protectively.
The light in the crystal died off, and Thomas fell to the floor, the rune-like markings along his face and arms going away, and his eyes returned to normal. Lucas ran to his side, trying to wake him up. He didn't, so he took his back to the village. It was morning when Thomas woke up, and he had no recollection of anything that had happened, and didn't feel any different.
Some time after this event, a large group of bandits raided his town. Thomas was spared the fate of dying because a local fighter of the Guild. He believed that Thomas had potential and took him to the Guild There, they would see if he had potential.
The Guildmaster Vahn watched him grow, and saw that he had a potential of being a member in the guild. This was proven, when Thomas came to Vahn, admitting he had stolen a golden ring, encrusted with jewels, from one of the guild members. Vahn, instead of punishing Thomas, sent him to the rogue trainers. From then on, he was a guild trainee.
After years of training and practice, Thomas was ready to become part of the guild, and as a rule he had to go out and make a name for himself. However, he has had little success finding work.
10) Personality: Thomas is kind and benevolent, and will spare his last crumb to you if you asked for it. However, he also acts professional, which comes from years of experience in his field.
